Year Review Cont. - March 2011 - Recognition

March was a long awaited month for Spencer.  He was waiting for March ever since enrollment at the Air Force Academy and Basic Training.  March is Recognition.  During Recognition you are put through two days (day and night) of intense testing (mental and physical) and if you pass you are finally recognized by the other classes.  After Recognition he can do a lot of things he wasn't able to do before.  Like walk directly to his classes not jog along the outside edge, wear civilian clothes, use the front doors to enter his dorm building, wear his backpack, shut his dorm room and a lot of other things.  He made it through and it was a great accomplishment for him!
